Zone of the Enders is created around a fantastic and futuristic universe where technology has now let the humans of earth colonize other planets. The Zone Of The Enders HD Collection combines two of the most famous Mecha titles that came out for the PlayStation 2 in a remastered and revamped version for the PlayStation 3. Japanese game maker Konami is behind the creation of both these exciting games. This action based game takes the genre of third person shooter to the next level with combat on the ground and in the air. This game can be played in both single and multiplayer modes. The Zone Of The Enders HD Collection brings you the original Zone of the Enders and its sequel Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner in high definition. The game begins in the late 22nd century, where people from Earth have colonized Mars through terra forming. The development of the LEV or Laborious Extra-Orbital Vehicle and the discovery of the high-energy ore Metatron on Callisto empowered humans to search further and expand. As years pass, the rulers on Earth start neglecting the needs of the colonists or Enders as they are known and see them as a working force, to collect valuable resources to be sent back to Earth. The population on Mars swells and they soon develop their own ideologies and political system. When exploitative laws and taxes are levied on them by the those in power, different resistance groups are formed to fight back. BAHRAM, the well known resistance group gets control of one of the Orbital Frames, Anubis, which is a Mecha robot that uses Metatron as its fuel. In the original Zone Of The Enders, Jehuty, the other Orbital Frame, is accidentally found by Leo Stenbuck, a colonist of Jupiter, who then uses it to fight for justice and good. In the sequel, Jehuty is found on Jupiter's moon Callisto by a new pilot Dingo Egret two years after the events of the first game. Dingo uses Jehuty to travel to the superweapon Aumaan to defeat Colonel Nohman of the BAHRAM army. Colonel Nohman pilots Anubis for the BAHRAM and is as tough and merciless as they come. Both Orbital Frames in this game are named after Egyptian Gods and the names reflect on these might ships. The story takes on a classic good versus evil line with the resistance rallying behind these mighty robots with an array of offensive and defensive weapons onboard them. These giant flying Orbital Frames are piloted by Frame Runners and are armed with different types of laser guns, cannons and sword like blades. The space-age setting makes for a fantastic backdrop for your epic battles. The wonderfully weird soundtrack of the game matches the action. The high speed gameplay makes for exciting action while the back story makes it interesting. The revamped Zone Of The Enders HD Collection has high definition action that is flawlessly smooth making it difficult to miss any of the explosive action. Fight both in ranged and melee mode depending on the distance between the Mecha robots. The 2nd Runner is visually stunning and you can play with your friends by enabling the 1v1 split-screen multiplayer mode. When fighting against other robots find their weakness and try to make it your strong point. Different strategies have to be used as you advance and fight tougher foes.
