You Can Go Home Again: Journey of a Pentecostal

The experiences I relate are written almost exclusively in the context of the Church of God. When my parents came to the church, I was three years old. That was 1933, and they were viewed by some as having joined a cult or a sect. In my early years in Alabama, the church struggled under persecution; and as I grew older, I longed for my church to be recognized as a valid link to the historic Christian church. Now in the 21st century, the Church of God retains its Pentecostal identity but has emerged from obscurity to become one of the largest Christian denominations.
