Earth has altered, and aliens now govern it. To restore our Earth and rescue humanity, you must recreate XCOM despite insurmountable odds. The 2016 turn-based strategy video Game XCOM 2 was created by Firaxis Games and released by 2K Games. It is the follow-up to the XCOM: Enemy Unknown reboot from 2012, and it takes place 20 years after Enemy Unknown's events. After losing the battle to stop an extraterrestrial invasion, the military group XCOM is now fighting against the conquest of Earth, the installed totalitarian government, and the military dictatorship. The action is separated between turn-based combat, where players lead a group of soldiers to battle foes, and strategic components, where players oversee and direct the activities of the Avenger. This alien spacecraft serves as a mobile base for XCOM. Firaxis updated Enemy Unknown to include procedural map creation and mod compatibility in response to player input. The 2012 reboot's unfortunate conclusion allowed the Game's creators to alter the gameplay, add several fresh features, and revamp a few adversaries. The creators included time-based objectives to quicken the Game's pace and entice participants to play more proactively. XCOM 2 emphasizes the story more than its predecessor did.
