As in the previous installments of the Worms series, the player's task is to tear down the opposition using various conventional and unconventional weapons. Clan Wars introduces a new online mechanic – the players can now form the titular clans and take on online missions together. The reviews noted the game's graphics and gameplay as some of the best in the series' history. The Clan feature was considered a nice addition to the excellent multiplayer, and the variety of single-player content, including the Worm Ops missions, made the game worthy continuation of the Worms series' traditions.
