Word Journeys Academic English Vocabulary: Early Intermediate

Jamestown Education's Word Journeys is a vocabulary series designed to develop and reinforce students' academic English at the Early Intermediate, Intermediate, and Early Advanced proficiency levels. This is the Early Intermediate book. It features: a skills-based approach to listening, speaking, reading and writing, vocabulary words from Averil Coxhead's Academic Word List, English language learners who guide and motivate students, nonfiction reading passages at controlled reading levels, recursive vocabulary instruction, word study lessons, unit assessments. Word Journeys can also be used to reinforce the vocabulary lessons in Jamestown Reading Navigator, an online reading intervention program for middle and high school students. The vocabulary and themes of these two programs align.
