Women and Their Quilts : A Washington State Centennial Tribute

Over 150 years of quiltmaking, from 1833 to the present, are represented in the forty-five quilts that are featured in this book which celebrates Washington State's history and heritage through quiltmaking. Each quilt is presented in color and is documented with information about its origins and details about construction and design. Also included are stories about the women who made the quilts. The work of twenty-one present-day teachers, quiltmakers, and authors, and seven quilt collectors from Washington State are featured, as well as a listing of Washington State museums that have quilt collections
