About the Author: One of the most famous Russian writers (1821-1881 AD). He worked for a period of his literary life as a translator into Russian and a journalist, but he is known worldwide for his texts, especially long novels including: The Brothers Karamazov, The Idiot, and Crime and Punishment; in which he adopted a precise analytical approach to the psychological state of both the individual and society, shedding light on the secrets of the human soul About the Book: White Nights by Dostoyevsky. The novel White Nights was widely circulated, and readers loved its overflowing romanticism and the creative contemplations that Dostoyevsky indulged in in his early works, hovering around the themes that his works would address. Vasya, the protagonist of the novel, tells of his dreams, emotions, and tender, affectionate love. However, this young man who lives an isolated life, drowns his strong feelings and romantic dreams and dreams of moving from the role of an obscure poet at first to a writer crowned with glory, needs to get out of this imaginary life. He needs to find a friend (or girlfriend) to be able to express his feelings. And here he is, on a white May night, while the light is giving the sleeping city a magical character, he meets a miserable girl. She is being harassed by a drunkard, so he rushes to protect her. He feels deep compassion for her because he sees that she is sad and that a memory was making her cry, so he offers her his friendship. The young man and the girl meet four consecutive nights in the same place and each of them tells the other his life honestly and sincerely, hiding nothing from it. This character is one of the most beloved characters that Dostoevsky created, and for Dostoevsky himself, it is the closest to his heart and the most influential in his soul, and it is a character that will appear in more than one of his works
