We Remember Bataan and Corregidor: The Story of the American and Filipino Defenders of Bataan and Corregidor and Their Captivity

Author Mariano Villarin was born in Manila and received a degree in Business Administration from the Far Eastern University in Manila. He also took post graduate courses at the University of the Philippines in order to complete the four-year ROTC program. The author's first interest was a military career and he served with distinction in both the Philippine and United States Armies. He is a military retiree as well as a civil service retiree. Following his most recent retirement as a federal auditor in 1980, he moved from Minnesota to Southern California where he began to write his war memoirs.
