This beautiful coffee comes from Pyramid District, Jayawijaya, Wamena. Coffee plantations in Wamena are hidden and widespread in the area around Indonesia's highest mountain valley, Jayawijaya, with the farms located at an altitude of 1913masl. Its geographical and climatic conditions promote the ideal growth of coffee plants with the potential for a distinctive and special flavour.
The farms are dominated by a single variety, Typica, which is still widely found in Papuan coffee farms; they are also managed traditionally and organically. This coffee is wash-processed, to showcase its distinctive origin characteristics and to get a sweet yet clean cup profile.
This single Typica variety washed coffee gets us mesmerised. It is clean and sweet, has a thick mouthfeel like Walnut, sweetness like Chocolate, and is complemented with Lemon Tea-like acidity. If you are looking for sweet and less acidic coffee, it is yours. Enjoy the calmness.
