INSTRUCTIONS:
We recommend that eye protection be worn when jump starting a vehicle.
Accident s can occur. In the event that an accident might occur in contact with eyes, skin, or clothing. Contact a physician immediately.
Vehicles should not touch in order to limit any potential sparks.
If the batteries have vents or caps place a cloth over them in order to discourage the formation of harmful gases. DO NOT SMOKE.
Consult your vehicle owner's manual for jump starting instructions.
The engine should not be running in the vehicle being used to jump the inoperative vehicle.
Carefully connect one yellow positive (+) cable end to the positive (+) post of the dead battery.
Carefully connect the other positive (+) cable to the good battery.
Connect one of the negative (-) cable ends to the negative (-) post of the good battery
Connect the other negative (-) end to an engine ground. (NOT THE NEGATIVE BATTERY POST). Consult your vehicle owner's manual.
Avoid all moving parts.
Step back from vehicle being jumped. Start the boosting vehicle first and then engage the starter on the dead vehicle. Do not engage for extended period of time.
On vehicle with a computer it is advisable to turn on the high beam lights to avoid a surge in voltage and to protect the vehicle's computer. Consult your vehicle owner's manual or contact your local automobile dealership.
After starting, carefully remove the cables in the reverse.
