It is valued for its rich texture and natural deep gold colour. Pattern Details: Kalamkari is an ancient style of hand painting with a tamarind pen, using natural dye. Motifs drawn in Kalamkari spans from flowers, peacock, and paisleys to divine characters of Hindu epics like Mahabharata and Ramayana. Fabric: Silk is a natural fibre produced from the cocoons of mulberry silkworm and has a shimmering appearance due to the triangular prism-like structure in the weave. Ornamentation: Zardozi is form of embroidery that came to India from Persia.
