Introduced in 2001, the Ulysse Nardin Freak watch entered the watch universe as a game changer, a pioneering invention in the history of watchmaking. It was the first watch to have silicon (silicium) components and a 7 day tourbillon carousel. The Freak watch won the Innovative Prize as Watch of the Year in 2002.
