If the water in your area is hard then you may need to descale every 14 days. If it's medium, then you'll need to descale every 21 days and if the water is soft it's around every 28 days. If you do notice any lime scale before the descale is due, you can descale your steriliser earlier or more frequently. You can find out the quality of your water from your water provider.
