These filters are used to make adjustments to the red, blue or green characteristics of light. Applications include correcting for color balance, light source variations, different reversal film batches, and other color effects. They can also be used for color correction in the darkroom when using an enlarger, as well as for pre-vizualizing photos to determine color correction They are available in density variations of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, as well as Red, Blue, and Green filters. These filters can also be combined to achieve more density. Yellow reduces blue casts or tones, as they are opposites while blue filters balance the color of excess yellow cast and produce creative effects. This CC05 is less dense than a CC10 filter, and is compensated for normal exposure results with a 0.3 stop increase.
