Theory of Electromagnetic Waves

This book presents a unified theory of macroscopic electrodynamics in accordance with the principle of special relativity, and from the point of view of the form invariance of Maxwell's equations and the constitutive relations. Electromagnetic waves are studied with attention to their behavior inside media that are linear but not isotropic. Topics essential to the understanding of electromagnetic waves are selected and presented to make the book a useful graduate text.
