The True History of the Conquest of Mexico, Vol. 1. [first edition]

Captain del Castillo was one of the conquistadors who went with Cortes into Mexico. His account was originally written in about 1680, but this translation was made in 1803. This is a highly detailed history of the conquest of the Aztecs and much of Central America. It provides many details of the Aztec culture and religious practices. It also contains a detialed order of battle for the conquistadores.
