Description
The LOG Rolled Over is a collection of cartoons and drawings by Craig Husa. These drawings all appeared in the United States Naval Academy's student ran humor magazine, The LOG, between October 1980 and May 1983. The editor's introduction says: When I was a plebe at the Academy, I thoughtfully gave my Mom and Dad a subscription to our captivating LOG magazine (along with an attractive USNA snow globe). Not sure what else to do with them, they kept all those issues in a box in their basement for over 20 years. Eventually, after dusting them off and discovering that they still made very little sense, they gave them back to me. I had long ago lost all my copies so flipping through this LOG time capsule recalled many forgotten events and experiences from my time at the Boat School. Sure, they are mostly inane and insignificant events and experiences but if you are looking to revive some useful memories, pull out a Fluid Dynamics text book. While the people, buildings, rules and reflection pools have changed over the years, I suspect that other alumni and possibly even the midshipmen of today can still relate to at least a handful of these situations. I hope you enjoy this collection of my “experiences” from long ago. If not, I hope you just smile politely and say, “oh, that’s nice,” just like Mom used to do. Thanks, Craig Husa USNA ‘83 100% of all profits from the sale of this book, if there are any, will be donated to the U.S. Naval Academy Foundation.
