The Geology of North America: An Overview/Book and Maps

This new series marks the centennial of The Geological Society of America. It will consolidate the cooperative efforts of some 1,000 individuals from academia, state and federal agencies of many countries, and industry to prepare current, authoritative syntheses about the geology of the North American continent and adjacent oceanic regions. Volume A contains 20 papers on key issues, presenting both overviews and points of view, since authors were encouraged to make their personal statements. Certainly these syntheses will be of value to a wide range of geographically knowledgeable people who want an introduction to areas outside their specialization.
