The Fault In Our Stars, directed by Josh Boone and starring Shailene Woodley, Ansel Elgort, Nat Wolff and Laura Dern, is based on a very popular novel by the same name written by John Green. The movie is written by Scott Neustadter and Michael H Weber. It is produced by Marty Bowen. It was distributed by 20th Century Fox and was released on June 6 in United States. The movie received a positive response and enjoys the position of no. 1 blockbuster.The movie has two protagonists. Hazel Grace, played by Shailene Woodley and Augustus Waters, played by Ansel Elgort. Both are cancer patients. Hazel is suffering from thyroid cancer while Augustus is suffering from Osteosarcoma. Hazel is an ardent admirer of a book named An Imperial Affliction written by Van Houten. One day she happens to meet Augustus (also called Gus) during a support group (she reluctantly attends due to her mother) meet. Eventually, they become friends. Hazel asks Gus to read AIA which he finds disappointing because the book has no ending.Later, in the novel, both are found falling in love with each other. Gus manages to reach Van Houten through a series of mail exchanges with his assistant. He gets an invitation to visit Amsterdam to find answers to his questions regarding the end. Gus uses his cancer-kid wish to take Hazel to Amsterdam. After visiting there, they are shocked because a prolific Van Houten turns out to be a douche and an eccentric drunk. Disappointed, both leave his house and make love with each other before returning to Indianapolis. Gus reveals her the truth about his cancer diagnosis on return, which further leads to a tragic climax.
