The Eternal Champion

The first Moorcock novel to feature that aspect of the Eternal Champion called John Daker. Into the 20th-century dreams of John Daker came urgent, summoning voices, calling him to an unimaginable time and place; summoning him to play the role of Erekose, the foreordained savior of Mankind in its war with the demon-spawned Eldren. Daker yielded to the dream-voices and became Erekose. Doubting the reality of what he saw, ans suspected by those he served, he drove himself to conquer. Until he faced the final question: "Who was the enemy?"> This is the first American printing of the novel AS ORIGINALLY WRITTEN. The earlier Dell book (#2383) was shorter, modified extensively.
