Loosely based on a novel by Elizabeth Sanxay Holding, directed by Scott McGehee and David Siegel, and starring Academy Award-winner Tilda Swinton, Goran Visnjic, Josh Lucas and Jonathan Tucker, The Deep End is a mystery crime-drama film. The storyline of this gripping flick follows a middle-aged woman named Margaret Hall whose son, Beau, gets involved in a homosexual relationship with Darby, an older man. One night, after a fight between Darby and Beau, Margaret finds Darby’s body lying cold and dead on the beach nearby her house. When people come looking for Darby, Margaret gets entangled in a vicious web of blackmails.
