You can drive from one coast to another in a span of 90 minutes. As part of the gameplay you are required to infiltrate dangerous criminal groups. The Crew offers many missions which can be played by yourself, with your buddies or online with co-op matchmaking. The Multiplayer Mode offers various races and other game types that one can compete in online by creating teams. With no in-game pauses or loading screens, The Crew gives a seamless gaming experience. Furthermore, you can upgrade and modify the many cars that this game has to offer so as to take your desired or dream car out for a vigorous spin. Players can also create crews to race as one in a team. Julian Gerighty, The Crew’s creative director, sees the game as a role-playing game that has large-scale multiplayer elements.
