Описание
Large 8vo. xi, 333 pp, introduction, Letters: May 15, 1940-February 5, 1965; epilogue, appendix, index. Edited with comments by Donald Windham: Second Printing, 1977. Whit hald-cloth with powder-blue paper-covered boards and gilt lettering to front board and spine. "These were the first collected letters by Tennesse Williams to be published. Williams was 28 when he met the nineteen-year-old Windham. Most of the letters are from the years 1940-1951, when the two writers were still passing from obscurity to success, when, as Williams says in a late letter, 'the world demanded less and the heart gave more.'" from the jacket flap.
