Description
Tarrago Shoe Cream is a soft cream made from natural waxes including carnauba wax and beeswax. The 18% carnauba wax also known as the queen of waxes provides a lasting shine and ensures waterproof protection. The beeswax provides nutrition and flexibility to the leather. Due to its high pigment content this shoe cream provides great coverage. What is the difference between shoe cream and shoe polish? Shoe cream revives the color of your shoes and other leather garments and while keeps the original finish. It is a thick cream with matte finish that contains a very small amount of wax therefore it cannot be polished to a high shine. It is rich in pigments so it can mask scratches and uneven fading. Shoe polish is used to shine polish and protect your shoes and other leather garments adding or restoring the shine of the original finish. Shoe polish is a pigmented natural wax-based formula that must be polished after application. What is the difference between solvent-based and water-based shoe cream? Solvent-based shoes creams were believed to be stronger more durable and easier to apply. They can be recognized easily by their strong particular smell due to their high level of VOC emission. VOC Volatile Organic Compounds is a toxic gas which is to be reduced thanks to the stricter regulations. Water-based shoe creams were designed to reduce the environmental impact of the shoe cream and to offer a natural alternative to those who prefer to take care of their shoes bags belts etc. in a more organic way. Thanks to continuous developments Tarrago today can offer a water-based shoe cream with characteristics in many ways equal or superior to their solvent-based counterparts but without being dangerous to the environment. How to use Tarrago Shoe Cream? STEP 1. Remove dust and dirt from the surface If you want to apply the shoe cream on footwear we recommend removing the laces before you start cleaning and polishing your shoes. If you want to apply the shoe polish on other leather garments like bags wallets belts etc you can start immediately by brushing off the dirt. There are many shoe cleaning brush options available natural hair brushes won’t damage the leather. If the leather item was especially dirty or you just want to make sure it is clean before you apply the shoe cream dampen a soft cloth (or a piece of cotton fabric) in water and gently wipe it off and let dry. STEP 2. Apply a small amount of cream with a cloth or brush spreading it evenly. Match the color of your shoe cream as closely as possible. Tarrago Shoe Cream is available in 90 colors from black to white to neutral and various shades of brown red blue or even green or yellow. Besides the standard matte colors you can also find metallic and pearly colors. We recommend you choose the Neutral #00 shoe cream if you don’t want to add much color to the leather just simple nourish it. Get a dauber a clean soft cloth or even a piece of an old cotton T-shirt to apply the shoe cream in circular motions. Use the cream on the entire upper surface of the shoes or external part of the bag or belt. If needed apply several thin layers of shoe cream but try to avoid excess shoe cream even on faded parts. STEP 3. Wait at least five minutes or until it dries so the wax can penetrate to the leather. Choose an all-natural formula for the maximum benefits to the leather. Most leather absorbs natural oils and waxes more easily than synthetic ones and natural formulations will leave your leather in better condition. STEP 4. Brush to remove excess of product Buff the shoes with a shoe brush. After the cream dries vigorously rub the shoes with your shoe brush to help work the shoe cream more deeply into the leather. Use quick side-to-side strokes to buff the entire shoe until you achieve a subtle shine all over.
