They ensure a good technical composition and conservation of the
work or change the properties of the artists' paint.
Purpose: Changing the consistency of gouache, making the paint less thixotropic
Composition: Gum arabic dissolved in water
• Makes gouache more transparent
• Increases the gloss
• Increases the elasticity of gouache and thereby reduces the risk of crackling in thicker paint layers
