Technology
Vibram ® XS Trek is a technical compound that ensures superior qualities of overall performance, especially flexibility and traction on wet areas. Highly responsive to extensive requirements, the XS Trek offers stability and comfort on various light and challenging mountain trails. This sole has been designed with multi-traction grooves that improve grip when needed.
The patented Snake Plate ™ technology consists of a plate on the sole of the foot that moves back and forth and sideways. It is not a solid movement, because it is not a solid element, so the result is a plate on the sole that allows the foot to make natural movements: to flex, to bend, to contort naturally when changing terrain. At the same time, Snake Plate ™ ensures rigidity when needed.
OrthoLite ® - Double or 3-layer insole for different levels of comfort, used by The North Face ® for making hiking, running and travel shoes.
GORE-TEX ® membrane is used in equipment for professionals. The spaces between these microscopic fibers are 20,000 times denser than a drop of water and 700 times wider than the transpiration vessel. Hence the property of the
GORE-TEX ® membrane to be waterproof (does not allow water to pass inside) and also ensures the breathability of the equipment (allows perspiration vapors to escape to the outside). Also, the wind is completely blocked, which allows maintaining body temperature.
GORE-TEX ® membrane is intended for use in low temperature conditions therefore articles with GORE-TEX ® membrane are recommended in outdoor activities such as mountaineering, winter sports, hiking, expeditions and travel. All membranes are tested in Gore laboratories and the prototypes are rigorously tested in the natural environment in the harshest weather conditions.
GORE-TEX ® 2L - GORE-TEX construction products ® 2 is a single layer. A GORE-TEX ® membrane is glued to an outer material, then combined with a layer that prevents jackets from sticking to the skin.
GORE-TEX ® 3L - GORE-TEX ® 3L products have a 3-layer structure, which contains the GORE-TEX ® membrane , glued to a hard outer material, and a special inner, protective lining. The main benefit of GORE-TEX ® in 3 layers is that there is no movement between layers, which means less wear and greater durability. GORE-TEX ® 3 woven garments mean less weight, more freedom of movement.
GORE-TEX ® material with GORE ® C-KNIT ™ Backer Technology is durable and impervious to rain or wind and is aimed at outdoor sports lovers. The material is soft and pleasant to the touch, it is up to 10% lighter and up to 15% more breathable than traditional materials.
