StarHawk is a Third-person shooter game which also combines Real-time strategy to let you customize the way you interact with the game terrain and other players. StarHawk is designed exclusively for the PlayStation 3. StarHawk has been awarded a PEGI rating of 16 or Teen ESRB rating as it contains violence with minimal blood and infrequent use of strong language. Synopsis and Features StarHawk takes place in the distant future where human beings have begun to colonize other planets across the galaxy. Humans have started mining a valuable energy source called Rift Energy using mining rigs run by rift energy miners or Rifters. The Rift Energy starts to affect some exposed Rifters and they transform into savage mutants known as Outcasts who feel the need to protect the Rift Energy from being mined. The Outcasts are compelled to attack Rifter mining sites and stop further energy production. One such gruesome event occurs on a farm owned by the Graves brothers, Emmett and Logan. Logan Graves unfortunately gets affected by the Rift Energy turning into an Outcast while his brother Emmett was able to remain human through an ingenious implant in his spine which prevents his transformation. Emmett along with his friend become hired gunslingers who travel to other planets to protect other Rifter mining sites from Outcast gangs. Meanwhile Emmett's brother Logan has become the feared Outlaw, the leader of an Outcast war party. This leads to an epic confrontation between the 2 brothers which you must finish to learn the climax of this sordid tale. The Publisher of Star Hawk is Sony Computer Entertainment while the game was developed by LightBox Interactive which also developed titles such as Warhawk and Twisted Metal: Black. StarHawk is playable using just the PS3 console and the DUALSHOCK 3 wireless controller. The campaign is a single player experience which serves as a guide to learn the features you will have to use in the multiplayer modes of the game. The most interesting feature in this game is the Build and Battle technology that allows you to call down a variety of structures like bunkers, defenses and armories in the midst of battle.
