The dramatic first-person action of STAR WARS™ Jedi Knight II - Jedi Outcast™ carries on the legacy of Star Wars Dark Forces and Star Wars® Jedi Knight. Jedi Outcast gives the player access to several Star Wars-related weapons, including lightsabers and Force abilities. Each gun, including the Lightsaber, has a first-person or third-person perspective that the player can select. The shooter genre's conventional combat features a wide range of energy, projectile weapons, and numerous explosives. The health and shield metres for each player are independently refilled. The use of the Lightsaber is heavily emphasised in Jedi Outcast. Lightsabers can be used to deflect blaster blasts, just like in the movies. Three different lightsaber styles—fast, medium, and strong—are available in the game, each of which differs in terms of attack speed and damage output.
