Paved roads and gas stations are plentiful—appropriate considering the environment—but relatively few of your cars have off-road-appropriate wheels. You are forced to rely on specialised timber-grabbing vehicles to transport the logs to the motorway because hauling your eighteen-wheelers out to timber scavenging sites is highly difficult at best and impossible at worst. The work entails employing two different types of vehicles rather than one, as well as taking a detour down a highway rather than a straight offroad path. I travelled roughly twice as far, using around half as much fuel to finish the two maps. It has a different feel than other games and fits more varied gameplay into the same environment.
