Presentation copy with the ffep of volume one inscribed by Vaughan and signed by several of the contributing authors including Virginia Guest Ferriday (Associate Editor), George McMath, Steven Dotterrer, Thomas Allsopp, Lewis L. McArthur, and C. Gilman Davis. The bindings are tight, bottom edges and corners lightly rubbed. Text and images unmarked. A trace of soiling on the top edges. The dust jackets show some edgewear and light soiling, light sunning on the spine of volume one, a small patch of sticker damage on the front panel of volume two, in mylar covers. 4to. xxi, 1-372 & vi, 373-750.
