   Description
Volume 3 in this series covers cab units built by Electro-Motive that SP used in intercity passenger service, excluding hood units that pulled commuter trains. However, F7 and FP7 units painted in "black widow" freight colors that operated in passenger service are included. The book begins with the debut of the E2A #SF-1 in 1937 and ends with the retirement in 1970-72 of SP's last EMD passenger cab units as Amtrak came into existence. Illustrated throughout with black and white photos. 64 pages. Scarce.
