Southern California's best beach dives

Scuba diving at many Southern California beaches can be a rewarding experience. Within swimming distance of shore, scuba divers can experience some of the best dives imaginable. The author, Dale Sheckler, is a Southern California native who has worked around the world as a commercial deep-sea diver, mostly on deep-water oil field projects. For the last 25 years he has served as editor/publisher for California Diving News. Dale was the producer of SCUBA Show 2010. Dale is also an Ordained Deacon in the Catholic Church spending his non-diving time working with the poor. Dale and his wife Kim were presented the California Ships to Reefs Reef Builder Award in 2009 which recognizes Californians, who have worked to make ships to reefs a reality in California.
