He was nominated for two Emmy awards for Days of Our Lives, and also worked as a comedy writer for Dick Van Dyke, Garry Moore, and Red Skelton. In recognition for his sound effect work in live television, he is featured in the Academy of Television Arts and Science's Archive of American Television website, honoring the legends of live television.
