Loosely based on the 1820 short story, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving, Sleepy Hollow is an American supernatural drama television series. It is about Ichabod Crane who is resurrected in the 21st century only to find his 18th-century arch-rival, the Headless Horseman, revived. Crane teams up with Lt. Grace Abigail Mills to unravel the mystery shrouding the death of a local sheriff. They have to deal with life-threatening situations like encounters with ominous demons, terrifying explorations of purgatory and imminent visit by the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse as the first season unfolds.
