   Description
This test monitors the calcium level easily and precisely in steps of 20 mg/l (ppm) For approx. 7.500 mg (ppm) calcium. Add sera marina COMPONENT 1 Ca in case of too low Ca levels. A partial water change will help in case of too high levels. Ornamental algae, corals and other invertebrates permanently require sufficient calcium amounts for their healthy growth. The calcium level in natural marine water is about 410 mg/l. Ideal calcium levels in marine water aquariums are between 400 and 450 mg/l. You should therefore regularly check the calcium level in your marine water aquarium. This can quickly and easily be done with the sera calcium-Test kit (Ca). sera marina COMPONENT 1 + 2 safely increase the calcium level in your marine water aquarium. Directions for use: Shake reagent bottles well before using! Do not allow tested water to contact aquarium or pond water! Rinse the measurement vial several times with the water to be tested, then fill to the 5 ml mark. Dry the vial on the outside. Add 8 drops of reagent 1. Shake the vial until the liquid is evenly distributed. A possible cloudiness does not affect the accuracy of the test. Add a level-filled measurement spoon (white) of reagent 2, whirl the vial gently (do not shake) until the powder has dissolved. Add reagent 3 drop by drop while counting the drops, release the reagent bottle from finger pressure after every 5 drops, allowing air to be drawn into the bottle. Shake vial after every drop until the colour turns from pink via violet into blue and remains stable for at least 30 seconds whilst whirling the vial occasionally. Reagent 3 refills (15 ml/0.5 fl.oz.) are available separately. The number of drops used from reagent 3, multiplied by 20 is the calcium level in mg/l, e.g., 15 drops of reagent times 20 = 300 mg calcium per liter. Cleaning: Clean the vial thoroughly with tap water before and after each test. Close reagent bottles immediately after use and do not exchange caps. Store at room temperature and away from light. For testing ornamental fish aquariums and pond water only.
