A detective gets involved in an affair with a suspect while investigating a serial murder case. Sea of Love is a crime suspense drama directed by Harold Becker and starring Al Pacino, Ellen Barkin and John Goodman. Detective Frank Keller (Al Pacino) and his partner Sherman (John Goodman) place a personal ad in a magazine hoping to lure a serial killer whom he believes kills the victims by using personal ads. But when he manages to lure Helen Cruger (Ellen Barkin) things becomes complicated for him as he falls in love with her even as the suspicion on her keeps increasing.
