Sanctified Sanity: The Life and Teaching of Samuel Logan Brengle

Although many in the Wesleyan-holiness tradition acknowledge the influence of Samuel Logan Brengle (1860-1936) on the late 19th and early 20th century holiness movement, very little theological reflection has been done on the teaching of this "Salvationist Saint." This book makes his numerous writings accessible to those unfamiliar with the teaching of this holiness prophet, presenting Brengle's thought in the context of his life journey and global ministry. Organized around dominant themes concerning the nature and experience of holiness, Sanctified Sanity provides the reader with a systematic account of Brengle's holiness teaching while highlighting his ability to explain complex theological issues in laypersons' terms.
