C.F. Evans' commentary on Luke's Gospel is one of the classic works of New Testament scholarship in the twentieth century. Originally published in 1990, it has been out of print for some time. C.F. Evans taught several generations of students and clergy, including people like Desmond Tutu, who have been profoundly influenced by his teaching and his personality.
