Kunti has fallen in love with a young man by the name of Anil, a boy from poor family. They do get intimate which ends in Kunti getting pregnant. Kunti would only like to marry someone rich, so that she can lead a comfortable and stylish life. When Anil finds out that Kunti does not marry him, he kills himself. Kunti is unable to abort the child, so she goes away from her home, with a close friend, Chanda, and gives birth to a baby girl, who she leaves in Chanda's care.
