This sketchbook is filled with 51 sheets—16 black, 17 beige, and 18 gray—of distinctively toothy medium-grain paper suitable for use with light washes and all dry media, giving artists the freedom to experiment with new ideas and materials. Its paper is archival quality and treated with both internal and surface sizing for exceptional wet strength that supports the application of multiple washes. In addition to slowing water absorption, the sizing helps pigments stay on the surface of the paper, resulting in remarkably vivid colors.
