Makers Spackle Paste is desgined to create dimension in your paintings, creating reliefs and impasto. It is applied with a painting knife, and may be mixed with colours when moist that will slightly deteriorate it. It retains the imprint of the tool and can be sculpted and painted when dry. After drying, it perfectly retains its volume and does not crack. Like all MAKERS products, it can be applied to canvas, cardboard, wood, metal and many other surfaces.
How to use:
1. Mix with water or paint medium until you reach the thickness you need.
2. Mixture must be used immediately as it will start to dry within minutes.
3. Apply with a knife or scraper to keep the tool marks.
4. Can be sculpted, painted and sanded once dry.
5. After drying, it keeps its shape and doesn’t crack.
Sometimes improper drying or humidity will cause the paste to crack when it is hardened. You can fill in the cracks once more with the mixture. Leave to dry before you start to paint over it.
