The Quest 4D 3 GTX trekking shoes by Salomon is an improved version of its predecessor and the perfect companion for long hikes with a backpack in various conditions. The high upper of this model and the waterproof, full-size lining make the Quest 4D 3 GTX a functional shoe that provides year-round protection. The incorporation of the Ortholite insole will guarantee you a constant freshness of use, because odors are automatically eliminated and bacteria are killed.
The total waterproofness of the model, and at the same time good breathability, is ensured by the GORE-TEX® membrane , which also allows the sweat to evaporate through the membrane. The sole of this model is the standard used in Salomon - Contagrip® shoes , the Non Marking variant of which with an inverted herringbone pattern provides traction on wet, soft, dry and hard surfaces , leaving no traces on them.
The special 4D Advanced Chassis TM frame ensures the sensational stability of this model , which steadily guides the foot even in the most uncertain and difficult terrain. The midsole is made of shock-absorbing EVA foam, which absorbs shocks generated while moving over various types of terrain and allows for natural foot movements and good ground feeling. The toes, i.e. the part of the foot particularly vulnerable to injuries, has been additionally secured with a rubber cap, which eliminates the risk of injury.
TECHNOLOGY:
4D Chassis Advanced Chassis ™ - the frame used in Salomon shoes, which in combination with the reliable Contagrip® sole ensures stability and protection of the foot on the most uneven terrain, which effectively reduces fatigue during trekking and provides comfort in all conditions.
GORE-TEX® - it is a very light and thin membrane placed between the outer material and the lining. Products containing GORE-TEX® are waterproof while maintaining breathability. Gore-tex fabrics protect the body against rain and wind and enable efficient removal of water vapor (sweat) from the body to the outside. This is possible due to the fact that there are 1.4 billion microscopic pores for every 1 cm square of the membrane. They are about 700 times larger than water vapor molecules, so that the moisture does not accumulate on the surface of the skin, but evaporates through the membrane.
CONTAGRIP® - technology by Salomon, used in running and outdoor shoes. The Contagrip sole is made of 3 layers of rubber with appropriate properties. The inner layer ensures comfort inside the shoe, while the middle layer has high cushioning properties. The non-slip outer layer provides excellent grip on varied terrain. This is due to a special design that is responsible for draining water, mud and stones, and at the same time reduces point pressure on the foot.
Ortholite® - an insole that provides excellent padding, cooling, dryness and a comfortable microclimate inside the footwear. Thanks to its antibacterial properties, the insole prevents the growth of bacteria in the shoe and the emission of unpleasant odors to the outside.

Place a sheet of paper on the floor and against a wall
Make sure you are wearing the same socks that you would normally wear with this type of shoe
Wearing these socks, stand on the sheet of paper with your foot perpendicular to the wall and your heel against the wall.
Then use a pen to draw a line just in front of your big toe. Repeat for both feet and take the longer distance to determine your size.
Using a ruler, measure the distance between the wall and the line you drew to find your size.
