The Ortles 3 GORE-TEX® Pro Pant is our durable hardshell pant made of tough 3L GORE-TEX® Pro fabric for alpine mountaineering, ski mountaineering, ski touring and ice climbing. It has been the pant of choice for many mountain guides for years. We use 3-layer laminate GORE-TEX® Pro to make our most durable and abrasion-resistant apparel for extended use in extreme and unpredictable conditions. The technology is based on an extremely thin membrane made of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE). Its pores are too small for rain to penetrate, yet big enough for perspiration vapour to pass right through. All our GORE-TEX® Pro products have a very high waterproof rating, are extremely breathable and pack down small. Our Ortles 3 GORE-TEX® Pro Pant has an athletic fit, long, waterproof 2-way side zips for ventilation, integrated gaiters and reinforced kick patches for protection from ski edges or crampons. In addition, the cuffs have hem hooks and loops for attachment and a precise fit with mountaineering boots or ski boots.
