Directed and written by Imtiaz Ali and starring Ranbir Kapoor, Nargis Fakhri, and Shammi Kapoor, Rockstar is a Hindi musical film that follows a man named Janardhan Jakhar who doesn’t like the fact that he hasn’t experienced true pain in life while the great musicians of yesteryears have. Hence, he sets out to have his heart broken by falling in love with a beautiful girl who studies in Delhi University. Having won 5 Filmfare Awards, this film sees Janardhan Jakhar’s rise to stardom and the many struggles that he has to face in order to become a rockstar.
