   Description
About Robert W. "Bob" Meyers: In 1960, he moved his family to the 300-acre Circle M Ranch on the South Fork of the Shoshone River near Yellowstone National Park, fifty miles from Cody, Wyo. During the summer of 1970, Meyers was inducted into the Cowboy Artists of America. Tragically Meyers' life and career ended later that same year over a dispute with a neighbor who attempted to have an easement through the Circle M Ranch. Robert Meyers was never able to participate in the CAA annual show, but his art lives on. Both color and black and white pictures of work done by a talented New York Illustrator and later Wyoming resident. This artist work is part of the Buffalo Bill Cody Museum in Cody Introduction: This book is about Robert W. Meyers, the artist and his love of the West as he knew it. The primary concentration of this manuscript centers on his western art career from 1956 to 1970. Methods: Our research for this book on the works of Robert W. Meyers has been drawn from interviews with family members and friends. We have received many courtesies from those works in private collections. We gratefully acknowledge the participation and authorization by the Robert W. "Bob" Meyers family to reproduce his works in this book.--Marylee M. Moreland and Gary L. Temple.
