Robert Mapplethorpe: Early Works 1970-1974 [first edition]

Gold boards with black and red lettering, 108 pages. Very Good minus condition with tiny dents to bottom edge and fairly intense smoky darkening to covers due to the book having survived a 2019 fire at the Saint Mark's Place flat of the art critic Peter Schjeldahl, from whose collection this and many other somewhat compromised books in our stock derive. Its grunginess somehow befits its subject matter. Further images upon request.
