The path of light has spread, and it has settled in every Muslim’s home, so that there is hardly a home without it, and its benefit has spread, both private and public, and the fingers of those with merit have been tied to its merit, and the most prominent scholars, ancient and modern, have served it, and they have demonstrated some of the quality of its casting, the beauty of its arrangement, the beauty of its composition, and the selection of its content. Imam al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) was a man whom Allah blessed in his time as well as his writings. All of his writings were stamped with acceptance, so the interest in them was amazing, and the benefit from them was obtained in every place and time. ( Riyadh as-Saliheen ) is a book written by Imam al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) on the noble hadith; advice to the nation, cooperation in righteousness, and guidance to goodness. He collected in it authentic hadiths that would be a path for its author to Paradise, and would gather its apparent and hidden manners, and would include encouragement and intimidation, refining morals, purifying hearts, and protecting limbs. What increased people’s interest in it was what the author outlined and drew for his method in this book, as he committed himself to mentioning only authentic hadiths from the Sunnah, and to begin the chapters with noble Qur’anic verses, and to point out what needed to be corrected or a hidden meaning explained.
