Revised Federal Nursing Home Regulations: 2018 Voices for Quality Care Handbook

This book is intended as a reference tool for advocates working with people who live in nursing homes in all states, districts, and territories of the U.S. It contains the new identifying codes (F-Tags, F-540, etc.) for the new and reorganized federal regulations that became effective on November 28, 2017. It also includes a list of common acronyms, definitions, HIPAA regulations, and federal long-term care ombudsman regulations that became effective in 2015. The ombudsman regulations apply not only to people living in nursing homes but also to people in assisted living facilities and, in some states, people receiving in home and community-based care.
