The life of a police officer is hard and dangerous; it involves taking part in perilous action which could get you killed at any point. When the job does lead to your death, and unjustly so at the hands of a criminal, would you strive to exact revenge even after your demise? Directed by Robert Schwentke and starring Ryan Reynolds, Mary-Louise Parker and Jeff Bridges, R.I.P.D. is a comedic action-crime film that follows the just efforts of a cop that end up getting him killed by a crook. Following his death, the officer is recruited by a team of undead police officers who hunt down souls. While working with the undead police department, the cop seeks out his assailant.
