This versatile device can be configured to function as a momentary press-to-mute, momentary press-to-talk, or latching (mic on/mic off) microphone muting switch, making it an ideal choice for a wide range of applications including broadcasting, DJing, sports announcing, boardroom meetings, and live entertainment.The Power Mute's mode of operation can be easily selected using dip switches, offering options from momentary push-to-talk, momentary push-to-mute, to latching. The user-friendly design allows you to change the microphone signal condition by simply pressing and activating the switch. In the momentary mode, the condition changes when the switch is pressed and reverts back once the switch is released. In the latching mode, the signal condition changes when the switch is pressed and remains until the switch is pressed and activated again.The Power Mute switch can be conveniently actuated by hand or used as a footswitch, providing flexibility in various usage scenarios. The status indicator light clearly displays the microphone signal condition, with green indicating the microphone is on and red signifying it is muted or off.Connections between the Power Mute and the microphone or signal source, and to the sound system, are made with standard microphone cables. The device features a female XLR-type connector for Mic Input and a Male XLR-type connector for Direct Out. It also includes a mini toggle ON/OFF switch and a tool-free-access battery compartment.
